An addon domain is an extra domain on your hosting account. It has its own folder, mail, and URL — all on one plan. Useful if you have several projects and don’t want to buy separate hosting for each.
\n
When it fits
\n
- 2–5 low-traffic sites
- Business card site plus a blog on a separate domain
- Staging versions on separate domains
\n
When it doesn’t
\n
- High-load sites (better a separate hosting plan or VPS)
- If you need different PHP versions per site
- Isolation: “one fails — the other survives” — no isolation here
\n
How to add in cPanel
\n
- Log into cPanel
- Open Domains → Addon Domains
- In New Domain Name enter the domain (e.g.
second-site.tj) - Subdomain and Document Root fill automatically
- Set an FTP password for this domain
- Click Add Domain
\n
The domain’s DNS must point to Navju Cloud nameservers — otherwise the site won’t open.
