An SSL certificate has a validity period (Let’s Encrypt — 90 days, paid — 1 year). After expiry the browser shows a “Not secure” warning and may block access.
Signs of expiry:
- In browser: NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID.
- Green padlock disappeared or turned red.
- Customer complaints “site does not open”.
What to do:
If SSL is Let’s Encrypt:
- cPanel → SSL/TLS Status → click Run AutoSSL.
- In 1–10 minutes a new certificate is issued and installed.
- If AutoSSL failed — check that DNS A record points to our server. If correct — open a ticket.
If SSL is paid:
- Open the services list and renew the SSL (or order new in the store).
- After issuance — install via cPanel → SSL/TLS → Manage SSL sites.
Prevention:
- Enable auto-renewal in the client area.
- Subscribe to notifications in @navjucloudtj_bot — alerts at 30, 14, 7 days before expiration.
