Navju Cloud hosting runs SpamAssassin — a filter built into cPanel. Enabled by default but you can tune aggression and behavior.
\n
Where to find the settings
\n
- Log into cPanel
- Email → Spam Filters (or Apache SpamAssassin)
\n
Main settings
\n
- Spam Threshold — score above which a message is treated as spam. Default 5. Lower = more aggressive (3 is already strict).
- Spam Box — separate folder for spam so you don’t lose important mail
- Auto-Delete — delete spam above a very high threshold (e.g. 10+)
- Allowlist — never treat as spam
- Blocklist — block list
\n
Recommendations
\n
- Don’t set Auto-Delete below 10 — you’ll lose legitimate mail
- Enable Spam Box — review the folder weekly
- Add important counterparties to the Allowlist
- Lots of spam? Lower the threshold gradually (from 5 to 4, then 3.5)
\n
Additional protection
\n
Set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC on sending domains — half the spam is blocked at the mail server level before SpamAssassin. Verify with Email DNS Checker.
